We, Huub and Ellen, are the grateful owners of a small-scale B&B with a homely atmosphere, surrounded by our beloved animals. We rent out just two rooms, each with a private bathroom, for guests who appreciate and respect the peace and quiet and nature in this tranquil setting.
Our quinta is located just outside the authentic village of Azere (Tabua), surrounded by several mountain ranges and the beautiful Rio Mondego river.
Less than an hour away from the Serra Estrela (highest and impressive mountain), the West Coast, natural beauty, waterfalls, but also the beautiful cities of Coimbra or Viseu.
We can provide you with much more information about beautiful places in the area or nice restaurants.

Discover the beautiful surroundings From our quinta you can take many beautiful walks among the hills and eucalyptus trees or along the Rio Mondego river. In addition to the many authentic villages, you can reach several larger cities such as Viseu and Coimbra within an hour's drive. But also the Serra da Estrela or Caramulo mountains or one of the Fraga da Pena waterfalls, the many river beaches or the seaside resorts of Fiqueira da Foz or Praia de Mira are more than worth a visit. Since September 2022, Huub and Ellen have lived in this beautiful place with our horses, sweet dogs, and our family cat. We consciously chose this area, a slice of authentic Portugal with its friendly people and pure beauty all around us.
Years ago, we both fell in love with this beautiful area in the heart of Portugal, not yet overrun by mass tourism, but thankfully still with many places where you feel like you're the only one in the world. So we returned every year to soak up the scents, culture, and splendor of nature, enjoying the peace and quiet before returning to our hectic lives in the Netherlands. Dreaming more and more of a future here...
